¡Sà se pudo!
Congratulations and thanks to the many companeras y companeros who made May Day 2008 possible. Through collective and collaborative effort between more than 30 different organizations, musicians, labor unions, community members, high school and college students, families and churches, a clear and united message was sent yesterday.
With a diverse group of people standing together in solidarity, the San Diego community made a stand for the rights of immigrants and working people here and abroad.
We will be having a follow-up meeting to discuss May 1, how things went, assess our achievements and discuss the future of the struggle here in San Diego. Meeting will be Sunday, May 18, location to be announced (possibly Chicana Perk).
A round of applause to all.
We did it!
¡Sà se pudo!
¡Que viva el Primero de Mayo! Que vivan los pueblos del mundo en resistencia y solidaridad!
